One of the most common reasons people give up on their goals is they feel like they’ve screwed up too much, so they might as well give up. When it comes to male enhancement, this usually happens because you feel like you’ve missed so many workouts, that there’s no way you can recover.

Wrong!

As we’ve discussed in the past, consistency is hyper-critical to realizing results. However, if you haven’t been consistent, this doesn’t mean you can’t get back on your program at reach your goals!

It’s OK to not be perfect.

It’s NOT OK to give up.

Progress – not perfection – is what will eventually get you to your goal.

The Importance of Recovery in Your Penis Exercise Routine

recovery after penis exercisesRecovery is one of the most important components of your penis enlargement program. However, despite this fact, recovery is one of the least  planned parts of the program. If you want to make the most of your training, you won’t ignore recovery.

When many men hear “recovery” they immediately think — Rest days. Easy! However, rest and recovery are two different things. Rest, in general, is any time you spend not training – whether it be when you’re asleep or awake.

However, recovery are the proactive things you do to help maximize your body’s repair. As with any exercise program, this isn’t just the tissue recovery, but also your hormonal recovery and mental recovery as well. Recovery is what will help you minimize the chances of injury and get the most benefits from your next day of exercise.

  •  Sleep – Now, you might think “Sleep is rest, not recovery!” Well, it depends on how you do it. If you purposely are making sleep decisions to maximize your recovery, then that’s recovery! How to do that?
    • First, get the right quantity of sleep – between seven and ten hours a night.
    • Second, get to bed BEFORE midnight. Studies have shown that the time sleeping before midnight improves hormonal balance and tissue recovery more than the hours after midnight.
    • Third, turn off the lights and the TV, to get the most rest possible.
    • Lastly, open a window and keep your room cool. Cooler temperatures and fresh air have been proven to improve your quality of sleep.
  • Hydrate – Drink plenty of water to not only facilitate cellular recovery, but also to improve your energy levels and lower the stress on your heart. Stick to just water. No need for sports drinks and water flavorings can actually strain your system, as your body tries to process these unnatural additives. If you just can’t do straight water – try a little lemon or lime.
  • Eat Right – Getting a healthy, balanced diet is important you’re entire life, but very important as your body has the extra stress of recovering from your penis exercises and the new cellular growth needed for that repair. High protein, low fat, low salt, and as unprocessed as possible are all good rules of thumb, to help you eat healthier.
  • Cool Down – Don’t forget your cool down! I know we’re all pressed for time nowadays, but you’ll save more time by maximizing your workouts, plus you’ll help prevent injury.

Training on the Sly: Ways to Keep Penis Enlargement Training Secret When You Don’t Live Alone

Any sort of male enhancement is usually very personal for men. In fact, it’s not uncommon for guys to not even tell their sexual partners, let alone a roommate.

So, how can you keep your training on the down low, when you don’t live alone?

Here are some great tips, from PEGym members, to help keep your penis enlargement training a secret.

  1. Split Up Your Routine – Big Al, of MaleEnhancementCoach.com, notes you can split up your routine, so as not to look like you’re spending an abnormally long time in the bathroom. Instead of one, long 30-minute training session, try breaking it into two 15-minute long sessions. biggerjones even suggests showering twice a day.
  2. Get Up Early – Get up a little early, to get your enlargement workout in before anyone else gets up. Conversely, staying up late can also be an option to get some privacy once everyone else goes to bed.
  3. Use an Extender – Reallyshortblackguy notes this is why he loves his extender. Penis extenders can be worn discreetly, so others don’t even know you’re getting that stretching in!
  4. Use the Bathmate – The Bathmate bathpump is especially good if you’re lacking privacy. You simply pump up the Bathmate then go about your normal showering or bathing routine!
  5. Share Your Journey – Although jockinthebox kiddingly suggests inviting others to participate, sharing your journey isn’t necessarily a bad idea. If the other person in your household is a sexual partner, having an open and honest conversation about your penis enlargement goals and the routine you’ve chosen to help reach those goals can actually help you, in the long run. Your partner can give you support and help keep you accountable. It may not be a comfortable conversation to have, but if it means you have more freedom to exercise when you want, without the worry of having to hide your activities.

What goals initially led you to PEGym.com?

dmizzleCuriosity. I never thought my penis was small, but thought it would be interesting to have a bigger one. I always wondered what sex would be like with a big dick.

What positive effects of PE have you seen, in your life, over the years?

dmizzle – Better EQ, amazing morning wood, and a bigger dick.

What manual male enhancement exercises have you done? Which are your favorite and why?

dmizzle – Almost all of them. I started off jelqing. I have since moved to stretching. Now I am mainly clamping and hanging.

Have you used any PE devices? If so, which ones have you used, and which are your favorites and why?

dmizzle – I tried the Bathmate. I didn’t care for it. I currently use the BIB hanger.

Do you do any non-PE exercise? If so, what?

dmizzle – I workout 5 days a week lifting weights. I also run 3 to 4 miles 5 days a week.

What advice would you give to guys new to PE?

dmizzle – Be patient. Start slow and take your time. There is a lot to learn about your penis. Also, pay attention to PIs. Very important to stay at an optimal training level.

The use of collagen in male enhancement comes in two forms — injection and ingestion.

Collagen penile injection is much like any other cosmetic injection of collagen. Collagen is injected under the skin, to give the penis more volume. Although the procedure gives a temporary girth increase, most patients are unhappy with the results.

It is difficult to get the collagen to be evenly distributed. Even when perfectly injected, many men find that the collagen migrates under the skin, resulting in a lumpy appearance. Risk of infection is always present, as well as other complications, with collagen injections. Lastly, the effects, at best, are temporary as the body will eventually absorb the injected collagen. It’s much more effective to go with natural penis exercises, for permanent, safe results.

For penis collagen ingestion, this is traditionally taken as a supplement. The premise here is that the penile tissues have a significant amount of natural collagen in them. However, the amount of collagen supplements needed to specific affect the penis, while not simply being processed by the digestive tract and released as really expensive urine, is unknown.

The addition of honey and lemon have supposed effects on testosterone levels and arterial health, respectively. However, the quantities of these two ingredients in the tea make it unlikely these would be noticeable.

Personally, given the acidic nature of black tea, I would suggest switching the black tea for a caffeinated version of green tea. This would also give the added benefit of the antioxidants present in green tea, while also promoting enhanced circulation.

Big Al:  Having been involved with assisting other great male enhancement forums, it made sense and felt right to gravitate towards PEGym.

What positive effects of PE have you seen, in your life, over the years?

Big Al: The most valuable aspect has been emotional satisfaction with my current physical state- regardless of the level of conditioning I currently have.  The goal of training should be to transcend both limitations and then attachments.

What manual male enhancement exercises have you done? Which are your favorite and why?

Big Al:  Jelqs, Kegels, The Jelq Free Routine, and Stop and Starts. The Stop and Start is the best all-around movement.

Have you used any PE devices? If so, which ones have you used, and which are your favorites and why?

Big Al:  I’ve tested various models of many different types of devices for short term periods.  For pumps, the most convenient has been the BathMate.

Big Al: Weight training, martial arts, various low impact cardiovascular activities

Big Al: Take your time and make sure you’re getting into it for the right reasons.  Developing training discipline and achieving goals can do a lot for your confidence and personal development.  Do your best to develop an objective mindset during training to get the best results and to further develop training discipline.

What is a Venous Leak & How Can I Fix It?

Erectile dysfunction has many possible causes. Some of these are psychological. Some are physical. Often, a combination of both psychological and physical factor contribute to the condition, and should be addressed. In this article, we focus specifically on one physical cause of erectile dysfunction – venous leak.

What is Venous Leak?

To maintain an erection, your penis must store the blood that flows into it, during arousal. If your veins are unable to hold the blood in the penile tissue, your erection will fail. This is known as a “venous leak,” also sometimes known as venogenic erectile dysfunction or penile venous insufficiency. Basically, it’s the veins leaking blood back into the body, away from the penis, during an erection.

What Causes Venous Leak?

There are several different causes of venous leak. These include:

  • Vascular damage
  • Vascular disease
  • Diabete
  • Peyronie’s disease
  • Some nerve conditions
  • Severe anxiety

How is a Venous Leak Diagnosed?

Venous leak is often diagnosed using duplex ultrasound or digital subtraction cavernosography, to monitor the bloodflow in the penis tissues, as well as check for  atherosclerosis or tissue scarring. An intracavernosal injection of a vasoactive agent is used, to simulate arousal, during the testing process.

However, in addition to this physical test, the patient should also be evaluated by a mental health professional, to determine if their are any psychological issue contributing to the erectile dysfunction.

How is Venous Leak Treated?

As with any disease, venous leak treatment is determined by the root cause of the problem. If it is found that psychological issues are a significant factor in the condition, mental health counselling to address issues, such as severe anxiety, can be sought.

Surgery for venous leak is an option as well; however, it has historically not been very successful. Success rates for venous leak surgery range between 20 and 30 percent. These cases are most often successful when the patient has “pure” venous leak – where no arterial disease is present and there are no psychological issues exacerbating the condition. In addition, the leak must be isolated to a specific spot. Venous leak from multiple sites decreases the success rate of surgery.

Other treatment methods include improving testosterone, penile implants and a variety of other methods, depending on the cause of the leak(s). Jelqing can sometimes be of help, forcing oxygen-enriched blood into the penis, to improve penile health. Kegels (and reverse Kegels) also should be a part of everyone’s male enhancement routine, to ensure strong and healthy pelvic floor muscles.

The Emotional Side of Male Enhancement: Being Hurt By Others

hurt feelingsLet me start off by explaining the primary reason I love my job here at PEGym…

I know we truly help improve people’s lives!

The saddest part of my job though is hearing how many hurtful incidents lead men to our community – both accidentally and on purpose.

Hurtful words. Cruel jokes. Snarky social media comments. Laughter. Ridicule. I’ve heard so many variations of this same story, from members, and each time it breaks my heart. However, what hurts more is the effects of this cruelty.

Obviously, these experiences negatively impact a man’s self-confidence in the bedroom. It also leads to reduced self-confidence in other areas of his life, including other personal relationships and his professional life. It can also lead to withdrawal from social interactions, in general, and even a loathing of women. Yet, as painful as some of these negative interactions have been. to pull away from interacting socially with others, for fear of being hurt again, will only result in making matters worse.

As Dangler wisely noted in a post recently,

Going through life, not taking the risk of having your feelings hurt,
will leave you standing on the corner of Loneliness & Dull.

You have to go out, be involved with people, situations, relationships, and not be afraid or scared, of discovering some of the negative aspects of being alive in the world.
After all is said and done, in the long run of life, the goods will outnumber the bads.
You got to go out there and participate; play and have fun in life.

Not only are there negative social impacts of this kind of hurt, but as Big Al, lead trainer of MaleEnhancementCoach.com, talks about, there are even negative impacts on your male enhancement training:

Without attempting to sound too much like a cliche, male enhancement knowledge in someone with a negative mindset can lead to a host of problems. I often call it the “dark side” of male enhancement.

In the very anxious and self loathing it can actually lead to negative results.

In someone with a lot of anger issues towards women (or towards the subject of sex in general) it can lead to the development of a superficial physical “mastery” at the expense of emotional wholeness. This is the scenario where you see men developing their potency and misusing it. In not-too-severe cases, these men grow up at some point and decide they want a deeper relationship. It’s not unusual to see the lack of emotional development come back in the form of performance anxiety- as all of those emotions normally connected with sex they attempted to divorce themselves from come back with a fury. It’s a case of treating the symptom while ignoring the cause.

So, how do you get past the hurt?

There is no simple answer, because every situation is different, and every man is unique. However, often knowing you’re not alone can help you start on the path of healing.

meat penis blood penisBack in the early days of PE Forums, there was a fairly popular classification spectrum for penis “types”. On one end of the spectrum you have the “blood” penis, and on the other, the “meat” penis. Although this classification system is no longer popular, I believe there’s some merit in understanding these two basic types, to ensure you’re getting the most from your training.

“Blood” Penis Characteristics

Blood penis characteristics are as follows:

  • “Grower”;
  • Responds better to high volume training (e.g. R’s Jelq Routine);
  • High EQ has a quicker and more profound effect on this type

“Meat” Penis Characteristics

Meat penis characteristics are as follows:

  • “Shower”;
  • Responds better to high intensity training (e.g. Jelq Free Routine);
  • Should be less prone to injury

How These Penis Types Affect Training

The above theory was interesting in that by using this system one should develop a more targeted training plan. Of course, the system isn’t perfect.

For one, most will find themselves somewhere along the middle of the spectrum. Some initial experimentation with training will be needed to determine the best method of training, and ongoing adjustments may need to be made as one adapts to their routines.

There are also variables to consider which can affect this classification namely, the starting level of EQ, cellular mass of CC/CS (though this might add only a small variable due to the expansive capabilities show in extreme cases­ e.g. megalophallus), and even the individual layers of tunica one’s penis might have. Extrinsic factors not directly related to the fundamental penile anatomy can also affect classification such as anxiety, drug use, or temporary injury.

Another thing to consider is the possibility of change. If hyperplasia is involved then the cellular mass itself will increase over time­ possibly changing the classification system. It should be expected that the majority of gains will come from tissue stretch and alterations in the ligaments and tunica/fascia.

For those who plan on making extraordinary gains and training in a progressive manner for years, you can expect to get to a point to where your routines could evolve to encompass both high intensity and high volume.

All of these variables might be one of the reasons the Blood/Meat Penis idea didn’t become more popular than it is, but there’s enough merit in it to deserve some form of attention in relation to individual training routines.

PC Muscle Strength Training & EQ Problems with Stamina Training: Ask the Experts

Big Al: The super kegel offers the extreme end of muscular endurance training for the PC muscle.  The Towel Raise covers the other end of the spectrum- muscular strength and precision/timing.

Q. For stamina training I did 30 kegels after and was not paying attention…

…and did them pretty fast.  My erection was fading throughout the workout. That night I attempted some Stop and Starts and had trouble getting an erection. When I was able to it was only 80%. and it was softening quickly. I was able to finish but only on a 60 percent erection.  What happened?

Big Al: You mentioned not paying attention while Kegeling, and following that up with the Stop and Start when you’re already distracted would lead to a less than productive session.  Too many of those and you can begin to experience negative conditioning from your training.  You’re already showing concern over this- and continued, that can grow into anxiety.

The instructions on what to do in this case is to condition yourself each session to focus your mind on your training.  There’s really no shortcut around this.  It’s not to be expected that you’ll be able to do this with compete focus each time, but like any form of conditioning it has to be practiced in f progress is to be made.  If you’re extremely distracted due to outside pressures it would be better for you to postpone your training until you can ensure focus than to attempt to train through it.

There is no more fundamental part of good training than to ensure you’re focusing on getting as much as you can out of each movement.  There are places for training where 100% focus isn’t required, but stamina exercises aren’t in that category.

Hanging is different than any other penis exercise!

Penis Enlargement Hanging Routine Notes:

Some important notes:

  • Start With a Warm-Up – Every time you exercise, you need to warm up first. Check out some of the best warm ups here — Penis Warm-Up Methods: Heating Up Before Working Out
  • Start With a Small Amount of Weight – You should never, EVER feel pain when doing any penis exercise, including hanging. You may start with as little as just 1 or 2 pounds. You should NEVER start with more than 5 pounds, no matter how long you’ve been doing other penis exercises.
  • NEVER Hang with an Erect or Partially Erect Penis – NEVER.
  • Add Weight SLOWLY – Only add 1 to 2 pounds per week max. Adding too much weight, too quickly will lead to injury. Only add weight if you didn’t experience any negative PIs in the previous week.

Sample Penis Hanging Routine

  • 10 minutes Warm-Up
  • 15 minutes Hanging
  • 10 minutes Rest
  • 2 minutes Light Jelqing to restore blood flow to the penis
  • 20 minutes Hanging
  • 10 minutes Rest
  • 2 minutes Light Jelqing
  • 20 minutes Hanging
  • 10 minutes Rest
  • 2 minutes Light Jelqing

Repeat every other day, allowing one day of full rest between hanging sessions.

For each hanging set, feel free to change the hanging angle you are using.
